About the LG UltraFine 4K Display
Testing conducted by Apple in October 2020 using preproduction MacBook Air systems with Apple M1 chip and 8-core GPU, as well as production 1.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7-based MacBook Air systems with Intel Iris Plus Graphics, all configured with 16GB RAM and 2TB SSD. Tested with prerelease Shapr3D 3.45.0 using a 288.2MB model. Check the video out ports on your MacBook Air. In order to connect to a monitor, your MacBook needs either an HDMI port or a MiniDisplay Port. Some newer Macbook Airs do not have an HDMI or MiniDisplay Port. If this is the case, you will need to purchase a USB-C-to-HDMI adapter to connect your Macbook Air to a monitor.
The 23.7-inch LG UltraFine 4K Display features a 3840 x 2160 resolution, a P3 wide color gamut, 500 nits of brightness, and built-in stereo speakers. Integration with macOS lets you control your display's volume and brightness without the need for physical buttons on the display.

The LG UltraFine 4K Display requires a Mac with a USB-C port or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) port running macOS Mojave 10.14.5 or later, or an iPad Pro with a USB-C port.
